2024 LCCN CONVENTION NUMAN: GOVERNOR FINTIRI REITERATE COMMITMENT TO GOOD GOVERNANCE

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reiterated his commitment to the provision of qualitative governance with an assurance to fulfill all promises made to the people.

The governor made the remark when he graced the 2024 Annual Convention of the LCCN taking place in Numan.
Fintiri first told the congregation that he specifically graced the occasion in order to express appreciation the people for entrusting him with their mandate for the second term. He emphasized that tackling security challenges remains paramount on his agenda and also promised to ensure quality education where he revealed that he will continue the payment of WAEC fees for all qualified students in the state so as to ease the burden on parents. He posited that education is the key to a guaranteed future for the younger generation.

The Governor also revealed that he has recently paid the sum 2.4 billion naira as scholarship to student studying in tertiary institutions. He also promised to keep up the school feeding programme in schools.

The Governor called on the congregation to pray for Nigeria given the economic woes Bedeviling the country, he noted that people are suffering and as such he will not relent in the area of empowerment more especially to women and the youths where his administration has already started doling out funds to support small scale business operation.He also informed that he is going to embark on the provision of agricultural inputs to farmers at a subsidized rate to boost their yeild.

Governor Fintiri also informed the congregation that he intends to strengthen the teaching of skills acquisition where vocational training centres in schools will be resuscitated.

Responding the Dean of the LCCN church Rev Nelson Mallau appreciated the governor’s presence and prayed God to continue to grant him more wisdom as he faces the challenge of leading Adamawa State.
The clergyman said the church will continue to pray for the peace of the land and will always preach the part of peaceful coexistence a d harmonious living amongst the populace.
