The Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN), is set to commence her 99th Annual Intercessory and Revival convention scheduled to hold at its Permanent Convention Ground in Demsa, Adamawa State from Tuesday 21st to 25th February 2024.
With the theme: “Unity in Christ, Service to Humanity”, the church in a statement said”the convention to be presided over by the Arch Bishop,His Grace, Most Reverend Musa Panti Filibus promises to be momentous for the faithful congregants of the LCCN Worldwide.
Considered as one of the largest annual gatherings of the church, Rev. Dr. Panti Filibus is expected to deliver a spiritual reawakening talk on the topic: “Let’s Hold Fast To Our Hope Without Wavering” adopted from the book of Hebrew 10:23.
This year’s convention according to the statement, “holds particular significance as it marks the penultimate step towards the centenary celebration of the church”.
A total of 71 new clergies will be ordained to strengthen the role of the church in addressing the diverse spiritual and social needs of the people.
There will also be keynote addresses from eminent Christian religious leaders and partners on upliftment of worship services, youth empowerment, women leadership and pastoral training reflecting on the LCCN holistic approach to nurturing generations of Christian leaders.
With a rich history of convention spanning nearly a century, the LCCN has remained steadfast in it’s commitment to spreading the message of Christ in the Muslim dominated Northern Nigeria, promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among different faiths and beliefs and serving communities across the Country.
