Adamawa Cholera Outbreak: Wakili Boya Provides 100 Boreholes To Constituents

The House of Representatives Member Fufore/Song Federal Constituency
Aliyu Wakili Boya has embarked on massive Water and Sanitation projects as his contribution to the ongoing fight against Cholera Outbreak in the state.

The Cholera Outbreak was confirmed to have claimed over 30 lives especially in Yola North Yola South, Fufore and Girei Local Governement Councils.
Wakili Boya’s “Water for All” program is aimed at delivering 100 Industrial and Handpump Boreholes in the life saving and transformation agenda of the grassroot politician to the people of Adamawa State, particularly in his Federal Constituency to forestall possible outbreak and escalation of the Cholera Outbreak to some riverine Communities in his Constituency.

“This ambitious project seeks to provide clean water and improve the overall well-being of the communities.”

So far, Boya has made significant progress. In Fufore Local Governement where eight industrial boreholes and six hand-pump boreholes were constructed while Song Local Governement also witnessed the drilling of eight industrial boreholes and six hand-pump boreholes as well.

Boya’s dedication to providing essential services to his constituents is rooted in his passion for leadership and community development.

The Federal Legislator was at a time, the Chairman of Fufore Local Government and the Chairman of Association of Local Governments Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGON), Adamawa State Chapter.
Through his “Water for All” program demonstrates his resolve to address the pressing needs of his constituents, the programme is coincidentally timely giving the precarious flood disaster that resulted in the outbreak of Cholera in the state.

The quest for access to clean water,was part his desire in helping to prevent water-borne diseases, reduce the burden on women and children who often bear the responsibility of fetching water, and promote economic development.
As Boya continues to work towards his goal of 100 boreholes, his constituents eagerly anticipate the positive impact this will have on their lives.
