The convergence of Adamawa Ethnic nationalities under the eagies of Gongola People’s Forum to chat a United front for future political gains, has left the political components of the state guessing as to what the future holds.
In what the Organizers tagged as a Grand Civic reception intended to acknowledge and celebrate the harvest of political fortunes in the 2023 general elections, the indigenous people for the first time won the Governorship and Deputy as well as 2 out of 3 Senatorial seats and 5 out of Seven House of Representatives positions in the state.
Also being celebrated were the 17 House of Assembly members from ethnic extractions out of the 25 members State Hallowed Chamber.
The occasion according pundits was to encourage a strongly United front preparatory for future political adventures.
In his remarks, the National Leader of the movement General Haladu Hananiya rtd said the occasion was not to fight anybody,but to strengthen synergy, cooperation and Unity amongst ethnic groups for future socio-economic and political struggles of the of the state.
The well attended reception which brought together all stakeholders irrespective of religious beliefs and cultural affiliations also witnessed the Forums Logo by the National Leader,RTD General Haladu who described it as a symbol of Unity and a standpoint of ” An Injury To One is An Injury To All”
Also in attendance were other sister ethnic movements from the South South, South East, South West and Middle Belt who were in solidarity with the movement.
