Boko Haram Resurgence: 12 Killed,One Abducted in a Renewed Attack on Chibok

The Borno State Police has confirmed another attack on Chibok Community in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.

Nahum Daso Kenneth, the Police Public Relations Officer of Borno State Police command, confirmed the incident, stating that 12 bodies were recovered from the tragic attack.
The attack which was on Tsiha and Gatamarwa communities is the latest in the renewed intensity of attacks in Borno,Yobe and Adamawa states.
In Adamawa state, the terrorists attacked Kopre Community in Hong Local Government area and the about 8 farmers abducted in Madagali Local Government Area.

According to the police Spokesman, the assailants who were clad in military uniform indiscriminately fired gunshots on the residents of the two communities, resulting in the death of 12 persons.

The police commissioner and other security officials have initiated a discreet investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

A survivor from the community informs that the attackers came in their numbers in Hilux vans and motorcycles on the New year day and swooped on mourners returning from Gatamarwa and opened fire them.

Further violence occurred when the insurgents moved to Tsiha community near Shikarkir where they killed three people and a young lady abducted.
The assailants, heavily armed and on a rampage, looted foodstuffs and set houses ablaze.

This tragic incident follows previous attacks on farmers killing 10 and abducting several others in the Mafa Local Government Area.
Recently, repeated attacks on Power Holding Installations and raids on communities in Borno,Yobe and Adamawa states have remained a puzzle yet unresolved.
The situation remains critical, that communities in the 3 states living on the fringes of Lake Chad and Sambisa forest are living in constant fear as to which Community is their next target.
This is coming on the wake of renewed attacks on Plateau communities where suspected terrorists unleashed attacks on communities in Bokkos Local Government Area.

In Taraba State Bandits suspected to be organized Kidnappers wielding sophisticated weapons raided 5 Communities, abducting a Paramount Ruler in his Palace, his Police guards and the Imam of the palace mosque.
This was coming after bandits shutdown market activities in Ardo Kola,Bali,Takum,Ussa,Lau and Karim lamido Local Government Areas of the state.
The question now,is the Northeast under Siege?
