The Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has congratulated Hapsat Bakari the newly-appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).
Governor Fintiri who celebrated Hapsat over her well deserved appointment described her as a “Competent and forthright public servant who has worked tirelessly over the years making a difference in service.”
He noted with joy the administrative prowess of Hapsat which, he said, had shaped the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission and other places she had opportunity to serve, and encouraged her to take continue with the virtues of excellent service to the nation as she leads the (NFIU).
While commending President Bola Tinubu for the choice of Hapsat Bakari to lead the Commission, the Governor described her as a patriotic Nigerian who had contributed immensely to the growth and development of Adamawa State.
Bakari is a lawyer and financial intelligence expert with years of experience in anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, and counter-proliferation financing.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri described the appointment as a proud moment for Adamawa State, noting that he has no doubt Hapsat will steer the Commission with excellence.
“I extend my best wishes to you Hapsat for this exciting new chapter in your distinguish career, and assure you of the support and goodwill of the people of Adamawa State.”
