A former Sole Administrator of Gyawana Development Area,Lamurde Local Government Hon.Desmond Minakaro has described as Messianic, the wonderful things Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri did for Lamurde Local Government since his assumption of office in 2019.
Apart from the magnanimity of choosing our very son,His Excellency,Crowther Seth as his Deputy.
Hon. Desmond noted that,since the creation of the Local Government 27 years ago, it has never witnessed this revolutionary shift from rural setting to compete with other developing cities in the state with massive infracstructural interventions.
According to the former aide of the governor, the Local Government had remained without a functional health facility and other social amenities,not even at the Local Government headquarters.
The Local Government regained consciousness with the coming of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in 2019, when he initiated the construction of a Cottage Hospital and Staff Quarters, Government Lodge, Road Network, Exam Hall, Classroom blocks shortly into his first tenure.
Many Lamurde youths have been employed into Post Primary and Primary Schools as Teachers.
Many of Lamurde Youths also benefited from Special Assistants monthly stipends.
According to Minakaro,PAWECA skill acquisition training centres have trained our youths on various skill acquisition programmes.
Our children and younger ones in Secondary Schools in Lamurde no longer pay for WAEC/ NECO exams, while those in the Basic Level, enjoy a totally free education.
We have many of our young men and women who have made meaningful life in agriculture by benefiting from the free agric facilities by the State Government.
Many Classroom blocks/ offices / convenience were constructed across six wards of the LGA.
Tingno, a commercial town in the LGA was for the first time connected to the National grid.
Educational materials were procured for Secondary and Basic schools within the LGA.
Before the coming of Governor Fintiri in 2019, Lamurde Local Government faced series of attacks from bandits, but now, we are free from such and our agricultural activities is booming due to the peaceful atmosphere.
These and more were achieved in the first term of Governor Fintiri tenure.
The FreshAir Governor has promised to give our local government more within this second tenure, Desmond added.
Lamurde, LGA would have been in its remotest mode, if not for the caring touch of the Project Master Governor Fintiri.
