The Lutheran University of Nigeria would need about 200 Million to complete the first phase of physical development to enable the NUC visitation panel give its final approval for it take off this year.
The Project Implementation Committee made this known during the 2024 National Annual Convention taking place in Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
According to the PIC, the amount is required to complete the ongoing structural development before June,2024 for final accreditation.
NUC had already given partial accreditation and when the structural aspects is completed, the body will visit and okay the structures for final take off of academic activities.
In a voice commitment during the briefing, the congregation has agreed to raise the 200Million Naira through the contribution of not less than 2,000 Naira per individual.
The donations which has commenced in earnest is expected to hit the target within a very short period.
The Lutheran University is the brain child of the current Archbishop, His Grace, Most Reverend Musa Panti Filibus and its take off will mark his foot print in the sands of time.
Earlier, the National President of Christian Association of Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr Daniel C Okoh noted that of the 3 major achievements by the Lutheran Church, the establishment of Lutheran University is foremost and assured that he will use his office to solicit support for the actualization of the University.
Okoh who appealed to the wealthy individuals to sacrifice resources for the University also made a donation of 2Milllion Naira as his token for the development of the project.
Meanwhile,spirited individuals and members of the church have earlier made various donation to the project and more is still being expected until the project comes to fruition.
