Many Killed’ As Suicide Bomber Hits Wedding Procession in Borno

A suicide bomber attacked a social gathering reported to be a wedding at T Junction of Marrarraban Gwoza in Borno State, killing at least 7 people and injuring several others.

The bomber, who was later identified as a young lady in her early twenties, detonated her explosive device in the middle of the gathering, causing chaos and destruction.
Intelligence sources indicates that the victims, who were all civilians, were returning from a wedding celebration when the attack occurred near a busy motorpark.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to rescue those injured and transport them to the hospitals in Gwoza.

Medical personnel in the hospital said at least six people were killed while 15 others injured in the attack.
