OVER 43 THOUSAND PLATEAU FARMERS BENEFITTED FROM FADAMA NGCARES FERTILIZER DISTRIBUTION

(By Dennis Kakaba and Zare Baba)

No fewer than fourty-three thousand farmers in Plateau State who have been captured by FADAMA NGCARES for the distribution of fertilizers for 2024 farming season have smiled home with multiple bags of the assorted product, the Project Coordinator, Chief Gideon Dandam, has disclosed.

This disclosure was in response to a goodwill message delivered by the forum of Local Government PDP Chairmen in Plateau State who paid a courtesy visit on the Coordinator of FADAMA NGCARES, Chief Gideon Dandam, in his office in Jos, Tuesday 20th February, 2024.

Earlier highlighting the purpose of their visit, leader of the forum and PDP Chairman of Quan Pan LGA, Hon. Raymond, disclosed that they were in the office to extend the goodwill of their members from 17 local government areas in the state, for the timely distribution of fertilizers to farmers across the state, which was coordinated by FADAMA NGCARES.

The availability of the commodity and its timely distribution to farmers by FADAMA NGCARES, according to the leader of the forum, was a harbinger of a bumper harvest to be witnessed in the state this coming farming season. He said farmers across the state are already armed with sufficient fertilizer to boost their yield this season, a development that is hugely attributed to the foresight of the project coordinator in tandem with the visionary leadership of the Mutfwang administration, who provided the needed support to achieve the feat.

Hon. Humphrey maintained that having survived three administrations in Plateau State across two different political parties, starting from the Dara Jang administration, is a testament of the competence of the FADAMA coordinator, hence encouraged him to continue to offer his best for the benefit of the state.

Chief Dandam appreciated the forum for the visit and their kind words in recognition of his service to the state. He promised to sustain the tempo and provide the best direction, as a technocrat, for the good of the state.

Chief Dandam maintained that the over 43 thousand beneficiaries are identified farmers who had been captured by the project for that purpose. He said the beneficiaries were meticulously selected without recourse to party affiliation.
