Over 600 Borno Christian women, Widows and other vulnerable families Receive Christmas Gifts.

Borno State First Lady Dr Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum, on Wednesday reached out to Christian Widows and other less privilege at the Multipurpose Hall of the Government House Maiduguri, for the Christmas festivities, to support the Christian families have a fulfilling Christmas celebration.

The gifts distributed include 25Kg bag of rice, one gallon of palm Oil and cash gift to each beneficiary.

The First Lady wished all Christian faithfuls in the State and beyond a merry Christmas, and happy new year in advance.

Earlier in her welcome remarks the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajjia Zuwaira Gambo, commended the First Lady for the sustained kind gesture over the years, done out of passion, love and promotion of unity among the entire people of the state.

Chairperson of the Borno State Widows Association, Madam Asabe, thanked the first lady for identifying with the Christian community at this festive period. She further added “We want to assure you that by the grace of God, the celebrations will be marked peacefully in the State”
