Succour for 70 Disables As Federal Lawmaker Bassi, Empowers Them With POS Machines, Start Up Capital

About 70 People Living With Disability in Jada/Ganye/Toungo Federal Constituency smile home with POS Machines and Start Up capitals.

Hon.Inuwa Mohammed Bassi in his remarks said, He was emotionally touched putting smiles on the faces of those who need it the most.
According the Federal Lawmaker,Empowering disabled individuals also sends a powerful message that everyone deserves equal rights, respect, and opportunities, regardless of their abilities”.

Hon.Inuwa Bassi said “he feels elated that he has today empowered seventy (70) People Living with Disabilities with POS machines and 30,000 naira each as start up capital to cushion the effect of hardship and to also make the vulnerable self reliant.”

The lawmaker said the occasion is significant for it uniqueness as one of his major responses to the needs of the most vulnerable in the community he Represents.

It could be recalled that the Honourable member has registered a community-based organization known as JAGAMATO Community Development Initiative to serve as an institutional framework for co-ordinating all his community development efforts and projects

According to him, he has initiated a process for establishing a community Radio Station to be based in Jada so as to cover all communities in his Constituency.

At the event, The Chairman House Committee on People Living with Disabilities, at the 10th National Assembly, Hon. Bashir Dawodu, Member representing Oshodi 1 Federal Constituency, Lagos State, lauded Hon. Mohammed Bassi for a historic empowerment program of its kind.

Stating that the program will make positive impact in the lives of his constituents, most especially People Living with Disabilities.

The representative of the beneficiaries who spoke on behalf of others thanked Hon. Mohammed Bassi for his efforts at ameliorate the hardship and making them feel belong.

The Coordinator JAGAMATO Community Development Initiative Engr. Daniel Dishon, led the distribution of the POS machines and the start up capital immediately after the flag off.
Hon.Inuwa Bassi has proven to be living up to the explanation of the constituency.
